Oh, no! Taylor Swift lost control of her emotions at the 2016 Grammys, and a source close to her tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that Kanye West and his nasty song definitely had something to do with it.
Taylor Swift, 25, wasn’t just upset about missing a note during her Grammy Awards performance on Monday night, Feb. 15. Unfortunately, 38-year-old Kanye West really did get to her, even as she kept winning statues, and she couldn’t hold back her emotions any longer.
“It was such an important night, a culmination of a year that was astronomical. Then to be side swiped by Kanye West, it all came to a head all at once,” a source very close to Taylor tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY about the moment she broke down over hitting the wrong note in her performance. Poor Tay!
The source continued, “She wanted to be perfect and the performance she gave wasn’t up to her standards. All things came on her all at once and emotions took over and that is why she was upset.” Such a bummer. Taylor should have been celebrating during the Grammy Awards, not sulking!
Thankfully, it seems like Taylor finally found her groove by the end of the show when she indirectly threw major shade at Kanye for claiming he was the reason she was so successful in his new song, “Famous.” Taylor didn’t hold anything back, either!
“She didn’t take it as well as Adele but as the night continued she realized that it was all good and people still love her,” our source explained. Her BFF, Selena Gomez, definitely had to have something to do with that since she didn’t leave Taylor’s side all night. Now THAT’S what friends are for!
