Kanye West has started his 2020 Presidential Campaign early! On Feb. 16, the rapper took to Twitter to blast the American Education System and reveal how he’d change things for the better. Read his new tweets here!
Kanye West for President! The “Famous” rapper, who previously announced he’d run for a spot in the oval office come 2020, has taken a stance against the American Education System. Kanye, 38, is extremely upset with how expensive a college education is, so he wants to lower the prices of textbooks. He thinks it’s ridiculous that “education puts Americans into debt.” Preach, Kanye! Preach.
Kanye made his opinions about the American Education System very clear in a new Twitter rant posted on Feb. 16. During it, he said, “I have a friend who works really hard and makes $370 dollars a day… Her son just got in a really good school and his textbooks are like $400 dollars each … I mean, his mom has to work 2 days just to afford 1 book for her son … she’s giving everything she has to make sure her son has a better future … Steve Jobs wanted to lower the cost of textbooks … Education puts Americans into debt before they even get a chance to get started … We have to lower the price of textbooks … I’d rather teachers got paid more and books cost less.” And he capped it off with #2020, signifying that he’ll attempt to make a major change once he becomes President of the United States.
Good for him! While Kanye’s Twitter rants can sometimes be obnoxious, this one actually makes a lot of sense. Too many Americans are in debt because of the country’s education system. There need to be changes, and we’re happy to see Kanye pushing for them!
