The Weeknd Completely dominated the Grammys with his show-stopping performance of ‘Can’t Feel My Face’ and ‘In The Night’ on Feb. 15! The crowd went wild — even giving him a standing ovation — over his smooth, clear vocals, and so did we!
On your feet, everybody! The Weeknd, 25, gave an epic performance at the 2016 Grammy Awards by performing two of his hits, “Can’t Feel My Face” and “In The Night” while giving his star-studded audience a real reason to jump out of their chairs — now that’s something you don’t see every day!
As soon as The Weeknd, whose real name is Abęl Makkonen Tesfaye, took to the stage, the audience knew they were in for a real treat. The artist, who’s nominated seven times tonight, completely wowed as he belted out “Can’t Feel My Face” and “In The Night,” all while a trippy light show blared behind him. Talk about a performance to remember!
His heartfelt ballad, “In The Night” was accompanied by a live cello, which made his performance all the more goose-bump-inducing, and in his suit and classic bowtie, the talented singer wasn’t shy about throwing in some dance moves — so hot!
Introduced by Ariana Grande, his crazy-amazing performance earned him an incredible standing “O,” which was led by none other than Adele herself. Talk about an honor! But of course, he earned it — see what we did there?
The Weeknd is also up for Best Record and Best Pop Solo Performance for “Can’t Feel My Face,” and Album of the Year for Beauty Behind the Madness. We wish The Weeknd luck as he fights for five more titles at this year’s awards ceremony! If anyone deserves it, he does.
