The guys were so totally thrilled when they won, thanking everyone that made the song such a mega-hit! Bruno made sure to mention their amazing dancers from the video, too, saying “we wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for the people dancing in this song.” And how could you NOT dance? It’s almost impossible not to move your hips when it comes on.

The Record of the Year award is often confused with Album of the Year. While the album award is for a collection of songs sold together, “Record of the Year” goes to a single or one track from an album. The award goes not only to the artist, but to the producer, recording engineer and mixer too. Mark and Bruno definitely earned it this year for “Uptown Funk”.
