The Carolina Herrera Fall/Winter 2016 fashion show during NYFW on Feb. 15, was out of this world. From slinky cutout gowns to flowy silk pants, this collection was nothing short of perfect. What did you guys think of the show?
Wow, is all we can say about the Carolina Herrera Fall/Winter 2016 NYFW fashion show on Feb. 15. The show was held at The Frick Collection in NYC, one of New York’s most beautiful buildings, and the actual runway was in the Frick’s arched Garden Court, which was to-die-for. Carolina’s latest collection was everything we thought it would be and more. Full of soft hues and mod designs, the collection was a modern take on the designer’s usual feminine and classic pieces. We absolutely loved this show, it might have been our favorite. Is it just us, or does the floral embellished gown look like something Blake Lively, 28, would look fabulous in, and the purple gown, something Sarah Hyland, 25, would slay in? Who better to open the show than Karlie Kloss, 23, herself? The gorgeous supermodel strut her stuff down the runway in a casual navy and gray plaid dress with a plunging neckline. As the show went on, the collection became more and more elegant.
While Carolina opted for monochromatic looks this time around, we did see her signature floral embellishments on a few pieces, like a pretty shift dress and a poufy gown.
As for color, there wasn’t much, which is totally fine. The one bright hue that did make an appearance more than once on the runway was a bright purple, plum color, and it was gorgeous. Cropped fur coats and long fur duster coats added pizazz to some of the conservative looks while bright purple cutout gowns with open backs stole the show.
While Karlie opened the show in somewhat of a more laid-back look, she closed the show in the most stunning slinky gown with a plunging neckline, open back, and a sheer skirt.
We are obsessed with this collection and we wish we could wear all of the new pieces! What did you guys think?
