Is there anything Melissa McCarthy can’t do? The actress took to the main stage as the host of ‘Saturday Night Live’ on Feb. 13 and totally cracked us up with a hilarious song and dance number celebrating her fifth time as host (or so she thought anyways).
Who knew Melissa McCarthy could sing?! The actress had the whole crowd laughing when she took to the stage as host of Saturday Night Live on Feb. 13 to perform a special song celebrating her fifth time hosting the show. The only problem? This was just her fourth time hosting! Can you say, awkward?!

Aside from looking absolutely amazing in her sleek and sexy leather outfit, Melissa totally had us cracking up with her opening monologue. After announcing that she was celebrating her fifth time as host of the show, the Spy actress immediately broke out into a special song and dance number complete with backup singers and Kenan Thompson dressed in a giant “5” mascot costume. Melissa was clearly jazzed to be joining the “five timers club,” that is, until Kenan informed her that it was actually just her fourth time hosting. Well, four and one-sixteenth if you count her appearance at last year’s 40th anniversary special. Don’t worry, there’s always next year Melissa!

Before the show, the Spy star jokingly shared her favorite Kanye West track — Yeezy is the musical guest of the night — in a hilarious promo video with Vanessa Bayer. “Butterscotch man / tater tot yam / put it in my ham / butterscotch man,” she rapped in the preview while making it making it painfully obvious that she had likely never heard a Kanye song before in her life. “I think it’s off his third or fifteenth album,” she added.
Of course, Melissa will be doing more movies now since her hit CBS show has come to an end. The actress’ show, Mike and Molly, surprisingly was canceled in December and they actually didn’t even finish out the season. “I was shocked and heartbroken when @CBS canceled #MikeAndMolly,” Melissa, 45, wrote on Twitter. “I would have shot this show for 50 more years. I’ll miss my 2nd family.” Watch episodes of Mike and Molly here!
