Just when we thought everything was cool between Taylor Swift, 26, and Kanye West, 38, he went and did THIS. The “Wildest Dreams” singer has responded to ‘Ye’s song “Famous,” which features a shocking lyric about her, in a statement via her rep, and it makes this whole thing even more crazy!

“Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his single “Famous” on her Twitter account,” the statement from Tay’s spokesperson said. “She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message. Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyrics, ‘I made that b**tch famous.'”
In case you forgot, Yeezy debuted “Famous,” along with the rest of his album, at his Yeezy Season 3 Fashion Show at Madison Square Garden on Feb. 11, and shockingly sings on the track, “I feel like me and Taylor Swift might still have sex, I made that b**tch famous.” Can you believe he actually wanted her to promote this on Twitter?!
Tay and Kanye’s history goes way back to 2009, when he famously interrupted her VMAs acceptance speech for Video of the Year, but they made up before the Grammy Awards last year, even posing for a picture at the show. By summer, they were as good as friends, with the 26-year-old presenting her former nemesis with the Video Vanguard Award and giving a sweet speech about him at the 2015 VMAs. Looks like that didn’t last long! Stream music from Kanye, Taylor and more ad-free RIGHT HERE.
Taylor has gotten public support from her friends and brother, Austin Swift, after this debacle, but obviously, she’s not thrilled about these lyrics. “She is absolutely appalled and horrified that Kanye would say something like that on a record about her,” an insider told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “She’s convinced he only dropped her name in his lyrics because it would gain the attention he wants to sell records.” Yikes — the bad blood is back!
HollywoodLifers, what do you think of Taylor refusing to tweet Kanye’s song about her? Are you shocked he even asked her?! Let us know and then check out more videos about these stars RIGHT HERE.
