“Grammys night is Taylor’s night. She’s going to win and be featured in the start of the show,” an insider tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “The Grammys are going to be her showcase for an amazing year. A reaction song might come down the line, but she wants the Grammys to be about her and her achievements, not Kanye West.”
In case you missed everything that’s going on here, it all starts at ‘Ye’s Yeezy Season 3 fashion show in New York City on Feb. 11, during which he debuted his new album, The Life of Pablo. The record includes a song called “Famous,” in which he explicitly references Taylor, rapping, “It feels like me and Taylor Swift might still have sex, I made that b**ch famous.” WHOA! Although the “Wildest Dreams” singer has yet to comment on the song herself, she did release a statement through her rep that reveals she’s not on board with the lyric. “Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his single “Famous” on her Twitter account,” the statement read. “She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message. Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric, ‘I made that b**ch famous.'”
When Kanye took to Twitter to tell his side, though, he had a different story — according to him, Taylor knew about the song and thought it was “funny.” In fact, he claims she even came up with the idea herself! Considering these two just patched up their years-long feud in 2015, we’re not excited to hear it’s been reignited. Come ON, Kanye….
HollywoodLifers, do you think Taylor should diss Kanye in some form at the Grammys? Or should she just let it be? Let us know and then check out videos about this hot topic and more RIGHT HERE.
