Kanye West is taking after his wife, Kim Kardashian, and joining the video game universe. The rapper unveiled a new video game, which features an avatar of his late mom flying to heaven on a pegasus, at his Yeezy Season 3 fashion show on Feb. 11. See the pics here!
Kanye West, 38, had a lot of surprises at his New York Fashion Week show, but we never expected him to unveil a new video game, along with his Yeezy Season 3 clothing line. Despite tech gurus in San Francisco “dissing the f*** outta” his idea, Kanye still went ahead and teased the game, which features his late mom flying to heaven on a pegasus, on Feb. 11.
During a live stream on TIDAL, Kanye previewed the video game. The images from the new venture showed Donda West flying through clouds to heaven. Interestingly, the game is called “Only One,” which is also the name of a song he dedicated to her in 2014.
At the celebrity-packed fashion show, Kanye seemed to say that the idea for a video game about his mom “traveling through the gates of heaven” wasn’t a favorite of some big tech guys in San Francisco. He told the crowd at Madison Square Garden, “I go down to San Fran… They diss the f*** outta me. That s*** was hard to do man. You don’t understand man.”
As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, Donda died in Nov. 2007, at the age of 58, after suffering complications from a plastic surgery procedure. In 2015, Kanye said he blames himself for his mother’s death. “If I had never moved to L.A. she’d be alive,” he told Q Magazine.
