Did ‘Ye really just say that? While we were all mesmerized watching the models and and the Kardashian family at the Yeezy Season 3, he dropped a serious diss at T-Swift! And people are NOT happy.
“I feel like me and Taylor Swift might still have sex, I made that b-tch famous,” Kanye [West] rapped during his Yeezy season three fashion show at New York Fashion Week on Feb. 11. The line was from the song “Famous,” off his seventh album, The Life of Pablo. It’s no surprise that his lyrics are throwing shade at others in the industry — he is Kanye after all!
The song also features Rihanna, and features another risqué line: “For all the girls that get d-ck from Kanye West, if you see them on the streets give Kanye’s best.” Naturally, fans went nuts after this since it didn’t seem necessary for him to call out Taylor — and Blac Chyna, and Ray J.
Of course, people seemed pretty surprised since after Kanye famously interrupted her in 2009, they have since made up — and seemed to be legitimately friends. “I feel like I wasn’t ready to be friends with [Kanye] until I felt like he had some sort of respect for me,” Taylor told Vanity Fair in the Sep. 2015 issue. “And he wasn’t ready to be friends with me until he had some sort of respect for me.” However, when she connected with Ye’s BFF, Jay Z, things changed.
“I became friends with Jay Z, and I think it was important, for Jay Z, for Kanye and I to get along,” Taylor said. Huh. Sounds like Jay won’t stand for beef among his circle of friends. Taylor said that, thanks to Hova, she and Yeezy have “both reached a place where he would say really nice things about my music and what I’ve accomplished, and I could ask him how his kid’s doing.”
Here’s some of the reactions on Twitter following Kanye’s rap about Taylor:
Are you shocked by the lyrics?
