An elementary school in Detroit, Michigan, has been struggling with the horrific conditions of their building and facilities, so Justin Bieber and his bestie Ellen DeGeneres are lending a hand –in a big way. Watch the amazing video here (have your tissues ready)!
Everyone knows Justin Bieber, 21, is a big softie when it comes to his younger siblings. So, it’s no surprise he decided to help out underprivileged school kids, who need a better learning environment. The superstar got together with Ellen DeGeneres and decided to give back on Feb. 11. Take a look!
The Principal, teachers and students from Spain Elementary Middle School in Detroit appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Feb. 11 not expecting a massive donation and definitely not expecting to meet little ole’ Justin Bieber. Ellen’s correspondent Jeannie was at the school to surprise everyone with insane gifts from the talk show host, which included Lowe’s gift cards, $50,000 in new technology, $200,000 in services and a check for $250,000 to improve their school. Wow. It’s hard to find the words for such an amazing donation for these children — it’s such a wonderful thing to witness, we couldn’t stop crying.
As for Justin, he popped into Ellen’s studio (literally, he popped out of a box) and announced he would donate $1 from every ticket sold to his concert in Detroit to the school. That’s a whole lot of cash, because obviously his shows sellout! Sometimes Justin can be rough around the edges, but this shows just how much he truly does care about helping out the less fortunate.
