OMG! This is best ‘Gilmore Girls’ news EVER! Jared Padalecki, a.k.a. Dean Forester, is returning for the Netflix revival.
Team Dean, you’re in luck! Jared Padalecki is the latest Gilmore Girls alum set to return for the 2016 revival series. This means that all three of Rory’s main love interests will be featured in the revival. We can’t even deal right now!
Jared will return for Netflix’s four-episode Gilmore Girls revival, our sister site TVLine has confirmed. Jared is just one of many alums coming back for the continuation series. Raise your hand if you’re excited!
In case you need a refresher, Jared’s character was Rory’s first love. They were together in the first few seasons before they broke up at the dance marathon over Jess (Milo Ventimiglia). Rory eventually lost her virginity to Dean, even though he was married to Lindsay (Arielle Kebbel) at the time. Catch up on Gilmore Girls by signing up for Amazon Prime now!
Now that Jared’s a lock to return, this means that all three of Rory’s loves will be returning. Jess and Logan (Matt Czuchry) will both reprise their roles in the revival series. This is going to be too good. Details about the plot haven’t been revealed, but Rory’s love square has to be a focus, right? She has to end up with one of them!
Lauren Graham (Lorelai), Alexis Bledel (Rory), Kelly Bishop (Emily), Liza Weil (Paris), Sean Gunn (Kirk), Scott Patterson (Luke), Keiko Agena (Lane) and Yanic Truesdale (Michel) are all coming back as well. Our sister site Variety revealed that David Sutcliffe, who plays Rory’s dad, will be returning! A premiere date for the revival has not been announced.
