James Harden and the Houston Rockets play the Golden State Warriors for the third and final time this season on Feb. 9. Will the Rockets finally score a victory against the Warriors or will Steph Curry’s squad stay golden? HollywoodLife.com wants you to see this game so click to watch!
Time is running out for James Harden, 26, and the Houston Rockets. They have only one more chance to beat the Golden State Warriors in the regular season. Now that James has reportedly split with Khloe Kardashian, 31, will he and the Rockets soar over the defending NBA champions? Or will their efforts blow up in his face?
This amazing match-up is also Golden State’s last home game before the All-Star break. Will Steph Curry, 27, his the red-hot team keep their winning streak alive, or will the Rockets finally take down the near-invincible Warriors? The action all begins at 10:30 P.M. EST so be sure you’re ready to catch every exciting second.
The game will fall on the Warriors’ Chinese New Year celebration, according to NBA.com. To celebrate, the team will wear special themed uniforms. Though, having won their last nine straight games, the Warriors could probably clad themselves in full suits of armor and still easily defeat their opponents.
Golden State is 23-0 at home this season, so James is looking to give the Warriors their first ever loss at the Oracle Arena in scenic Oakland, California. However, even the Rockets’ star player — and Taco Bell spokesperson — admits that stopping Golden State is “easier said than done.”
“When they’re making a lot of threes, it’s tough. But if you can find a way to contest all their shots, and make all the other guys take contested shots as well, then you have a chance,” James tells Sports Illustrated. “It’s when you let them make layups, freely get threes, then everyone starts making threes and it’s a disaster after that.”
James is averaging 27.8 points, according to CBS Sports, while Steph is averaging 29.8 per game. This game will be the first time the Rockets have been to the Bay Area since losing 104-90 in Game 5 of the 2014-15 NBA West conference finals. It will also be the first game after reports that James and Khloe have broken up. Will the Rockets finally avenge their loss or will the Warriors continue to stay perfect at home?
