Boom! Gwen Stefani just dropped a bomb of joy for her fans Feb. 8 by revealing the song title list for her upcoming album, and we’re dead! From the names of the 12 songs, it sounds like she really poured her heartache followed by new love into songwriting.
All hail our Queen! We’re finally getting our first full Gwen Stefani album in a decade and from the list of songs, it’s going to have been well worth the wait! She gave us a big clue as to what she’s decided to name her record, but its crystal clear in many of the track titles that she unloaded her pain over her divorce from Gavin Rossdale, 50, into her songwriting. But since she’s totally in love again and happy with boyfriend Blake Shelton, 39, there are definitely songs that made the cut that are about her new sweetheart.[hl_amazon_ns]
The 46-year-old delivered the track list for her new album in the cutest and most “Gwen” way possible – handwritten in a personal notebook with red hearts drawn around it. She captioned the picture of the list, “This Is What the Truth Feels Like…” which has many people wondering if that’s what she’s named her first solo record in a decade, or if she’s just saying that the songs she’s written are incredibly personal to her.
The very first song is clearly about Gavin as it’s titled “Misery,” and other tracks that allude to her heartbreaking divorce and Gavin’s alleged cheating scandal include “Red Flag,” “Asking 4 It,” “Naughty” “Truth” “Me Without You” and of course her hit single “Used To Love You.” Gavin may have devastated Gwen with his betrayal, but it looks like she sure channeled that pain into blazing creativity! But ever since Gwen found love again with Blake, he was clearly on her mind as she penned some of the other tracks to the new album. The second song is called “You’re My Favorite” and she wrote two little stars next to it, so either it’s her favorite or maybe it’s a hint that the song will be the next single she’s going to release. “Rare,” “Where Would I Be?” “Make Me Like U” and “Send Me A Picture” all seem to have been written as she was healing with Blake’s love.
The one thing Gwen didn’t share was when the album is going to be released. Because we want to hear this music now!!!
