That’ll sting in the morning! Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly poked fun at Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump in a hilarious interview on ‘The Late Show’ with Stephen Colbert. Click here for the full details!
She said what?! Megyn Kelly, 45, appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, 51, and couldn’t wait to take a shot at her nemesis, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, 69. These two just can’t help but have a dig at one another!
Stephen didnt waste any time getting to the elephant in the room asking Megyn about her beef with Donald. She seems ready for the question, admitting she had one thing she wanted to say. “The only thing I wanted to ask was Trump said he had supporters so devoted he could shoot someone on 5th avenue and he would not lose a single voter…I wanted to ask if it was me,” she told the host. Ha!
The Donald blasted Kelly after her tough, but fair questions at the Republican debate back in Aug. left him rattled. The businessman was particularly irked that Megyn challenged him for making disrespectful comments about women. The feud continued in Jan. when Donald pulled out of the final Iowa Republican debate after learning Megyn was going to be the moderator again. He later labelled her a “bimbo” and “third-rate reporter” in an attacking tweet on Jan. 27.
Megyn continued to defend herself with Stephen, and even said she has something up her sleeve for the March 3 debate. “What made him so angry was when I asked him a question in the first debate that I thought it was very fair,” she explained. Stephen asked if she has an opening question for Donald to which she replied, “I do have a first question, but I’m not going to tell you!” And then she joked she’s sure she will be receiving an apology from Donald. Er…you may not want to hold your breath Megyn.
Megyn appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Feb.4 and spoke of her new-found celebrity fame since her ongoing feud with the billionaire made the news. Asked how her life has changed since their spat, she told Jimmy: “It changed a little. Like, I can no longer go on Twitter.” She also called her experience of going from news anchor to national celebrity as “surreal.”
But perhaps Donald and Megyn’s feud has gone on long enough now, and maybe they should stop bad-mouthing each other and let the politics do the talking. What d’you think, HollywoodLifers? Has this feud gone on for long? Should they both just bury the hatchet? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
