Vanessa’s father, Greg, passed away on Jan. 30 after battling stage 4 cancer. He was 65 years old. “I am so sad to say that last night my daddy, Greg, passed away from stage 4 cancer,” Vanessa tweeted on Jan. 31. “Thank you to everyone who kept him in your prayers.”
One day after her father died, Vanessa wowed everyone with her incredible performance as Rizzo in Grease: Live. Before the show, she announced she would be doing the show in his honor. Watch Grease: Live by signing up for Amazon Prime now.
HollywoodLife.com learned EXCLUSIVELY that Vanessa has had the support of her loving boyfriend Austin Butler, 24. “Vanessa feels lucky to have the support of Austin who is already offering her a shoulder to cry on, and went through the same thing she’s going through when his mother died in 2014,” a source told us.
One day after Grease: Live, the couple headed to a relaxing yoga class together. It’s clear that Vanessa is leaning on her boyfriend during her time of need. The pain she’s feeling is unimaginable, but Vanessa is strong and will get through this. Her father would be so proud of all that she’s accomplished.
