Don’t mess with Peyton Manning. On the eve of Super Bowl 50, the star quarterback of the Denver Broncos is going after the source who tried to ruin his career by alleging he used performance-enhancing drugs. Keep reading for the latest.
Peyton Manning, 39, has hired private investigators to find and question the person responsible for making the accusations tarnishing his sparkling reputation. Peyton’s 18 years of NFL domination was brought into question when a source told Al-Jazeera that the quarterback used Human Growth Hormones, or HGH, a substance banned by the NFL. Peyton is determined to find out the source of this story and wants to know why they published lies.
He has a Super Bowl ring and the respect of every NFL player and fans everywhere. So when someone accused him of taking performance-enhancing drugs, you bet Peyton is going to come back swinging. Peyton hired a legal team and private investigators to do everything in his power to protect his legacy and his family’s dynasty, according to Washington Post.
Charlie Sly is the source who made the allegations. Charlie is an Indiana pharmacist who has since recanted everything in the Al-Jazeera America documentary regarding Peyton. In the documentary, Charlie was caught on an undercover camera strongly suggesting that a local anti-aging clinic where he worked provided HGH to Peyton and other pro athletes.
Peyton has said that the clinic delivered drugs for his wife Ashley Manning, but the drugs weren’t HGH. He has also come out hard against the documentary and said it’s “completely fabricated, complete trash, garbage.”
Charlie insisted during an interview with ESPN that he never said any of the things in the Al-Jazeera documentary, which aired on Dec. 27, 2015. “I don’t see how Al-Jazeera can say all this,” Charlie said to ESPN’s Outside The Lines. “There’s no proof to any of this stuff.”
Peyton has said that Super Bowl 50 might be his last rodeo. It would be a shame for his career to end with a drug scandal. What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Are you a Peyton fan, do you think he could be on the juice?
