Cam Newton is about to have the biggest day of his career, playing quarterback for the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50. But as the game approaches, Cam’s getting terribly nervous. Is he going to shake his nerves and play like a pro?
Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton, 26, is more than a tad bit nervous when it comes to playing in Super Bowl 50, but he’s sure that he’ll be able to pull it together, a source close to the NFL star told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. While Cam’s determined to play like a champ, there’s that part of him that’s worried he’ll disappoint everyone!
“Cam knows that he will shake off the nerves by Sunday because he is a professional, but he is nervous as hell right now when it comes to the Super Bowl,” the source told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “He knows a win will change his life forever and that is definitely crossing his mind constantly because he doesn’t want to disappoint his fans or his teammates. Everything is on his back right now.”
“[Cam] is trying to show a brave face through it all, but people can see that the stress of this week, which has only just started is getting to him because all eyes are on him,” the source continued. “He is familiar with pressure but this is a whole new world that his [Broncos] counterpart Peyton [Manning] is comfortable and familiar with. Cam on the other hand — not so much!”
Poor Cam! The pressure of playing in the Super Bowl has to be immense! We really don’t blame him for being nervous about the game; the players have the entire nation, hundreds of millions of people, watching them play football — not to mention Beyonce! But Cam has persevered through far greater struggles, and he’s going to slay during this game!
