Talk about patriotic! The Armed Forces Chorus sang ‘America The Beautiful’ ahead of Super Bowl 50, and their performance was just as spectacular as it was meaningful. Watch their moving rendition here!
When it comes to delivering an ode to our country at the Super Bowl, what better group of people to sing it than the Armed Forces Chorus? Fifty U.S. service men and women — representing the Army, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard, and Air Force — gave an incredible performance of “America The Beautiful,” and it’s hard to imagine anyone more fitting for such a patriotic song. We couldn’t help from getting chills while we watched them sing their hearts out!
The chorus, made up of members from The U.S. Army Chorus, the U.S. Air Force Singing Sergeants, the U.S. Navy Band Sea Chanters, and the Soldiers Chorus of the U.S. Army Field Band, sounded amazing as they stood proud in their uniforms on the Levi’s Stadium field. They were also joined by Marlee Matlin, who signed the song alongside them. Clearly the Armed Forces Chorus members were as touched to be performing “America The Beautiful” as we were to be watching them!
Following the wowing performance, The Joint Armed Forces Color Guard also presented the colors prior to the big game, accompanied by members of the United States Army Band on drums. Could there be a more powerful way to pay tribute to America?!
As if we weren’t blown away enough by the Armed Forces Chorus’ rendition of “America The Beautiful,” Super Bowl 50 is stacked with even more unbelievable performances. Between having Lady Gaga on deck for the National Anthem and Coldplay performing the halftime show — with some help from Beyonce and Bruno Mars — the Super Bowl is going to have a hard time topping this year’s spectacular lineup!
