Finally! Justice might soon be served in the case of Ethan Couch, as the ‘Affluenza’ teen is now behind the hard-core bars of an adult jail. Maybe now he’ll realize what punishment really is after breaking his 10 year probation for killing four people in a drunk driving wreck!
At long last! Ethan Couch, 18, might be getting cured of his “Affluenza” by spending his first night behind bars with dangerous adult criminals around him. A Texas judge on Feb. 5 moved the pampered teen out of a juvenile facility and into the big house where maybe he’ll get a taste of what actual consequences feels like! We bet this will help him get over the made-up condition that let him literally get away with murder.
While Ethan is now being housed in an adult detention facility, authorities still haven’t determined whether to try him as an adult for violating the terms of his 10 year “no drinking alcohol” probation. A hearing on that matter will take place on Feb. 19. If tried as an adult he could receive 120 days behind bars after he was filmed drinking at a friend’s party, and when that tape surfaced he went on the run to Mexico with his mom, only to be caught on shortly after Christmas and deported back to Texas.
We did get a new, fresh look at Ethan though, as the Tarrant County, TX Sheriff’s Department released his latest mugshot. He’s see with his naturally strawberry blonde hair still the dark brown that he colored it to when he and his mom went on the lam. Ethan is staring into the camera with dead eyes and a completely blank expression on his face, which has since grown a bushy beard.
The spoiled Burleson, TX teen should have received hard time after he drunkenly plowing into a stalled car in 2013, killing the driver and three bystanders who came to her aid. But his lawyers claimed he had “Affluenza,” a condition caused by his rich and privileged upbringing where he didn’t realize that doing bad things had consequences, and the judge totally bought it! She gave him absolutely no jail time and sentences him to 10 years probation, with the condition he couldn’t drink, but Ethan couldn’t even abide by that one rule!
HollywoodLifers, do you think Ethan will finally get jail time for breaking his probation?
