Zac Efron, is that YOU?! The Hollywood hottie just posted a hilarious meme featuring a throwback photo of himself with shaggy crimped hair. And get ready, because according to the actor, the look is coming back!
This can’t be unseen! Zac Efron is one of Hollywood’s hottest hunks, but it looks like even he’s suffered through some awkward years. Don’t believe us? Look no further than his Instagram page, where the Dirty Grandpa actor just posted a hilarious throwback photo of his pre-pubescent self sporting what is without a doubt one of the most cringe-worthy crimped hairdos we’ve ever seen. The look is so early 2000s, but could it be ready for a comeback? See what Zac had to say about it below!
This just made our day. Taking a break from all of those shirtless selfies he’s been posting lately, Zac took to Instagram on Feb.4 to share what is now officially our new favorite throwback photos. The pic, which was originally posted by The Fat Jewish, featured a hilarious side-by-side comparison of Zac in his current hunky state and a photo of him as a preteen with chubby cheeks and one of the most awful crimped hairdos that we’ve ever seen. The caption on the photo: “There’s hope for us all.” Yeah, it had us laughing too.
The hairstyle is giving us some serious early 2000s flashbacks (admit it, you were all about your crimper back then too), but according to Zac, the look is prime for a comeback. Along with the photo, Zac posted his own hilarious caption to boot, writing, “Crimping induces puberty @thefatjewish. It’s about to come back. Watch, these photos will get reversed.” Sorry Zac, but we strongly advise you to keep this look where it belong: in the past!
Speaking of the actor’s past, Zac recently popped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! where the talk show host surprised Zac, and all of us, with a video from his teen years. In the clip, Zac can be seen performing a song in his high school’s musical and it’s beyond magical. Dressed as Snoopy from You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, the 28-year-old is barely recognizable, but his enthusiastic dance moves are right on point with Troy Bolton’s in High School Musical. Oh, the nostalgia!
HollywoodLifers, what do you think of Zac’s crimped hair? Should be bring the look back? Sound off below!
