Kim Kardashian’s latest hair tutorial couldn’t be easier to copy, and it also happens to make the perfect date night look. Find out the exact products she used to try out her sleek hairstyle just in time for Valentine’s Day!
Kim Kardashian, 35, has a beauty routine so intense (and expensive), we usually can never quite perfect her looks. But the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star recently shared the step-by-step how-to behind her slicked back ponytail, and it happens to be quite simple — plus, you only need three products.

Michael Silva was on hand to create Kim’s slicked back and sleek ponytail. He started by blow drying her freshly washed hair and then brushed the hair straight back. To get that glossy finish, Michael rubbed several pumps of the Kardashian Beauty Black Seed Dry Oil (his favorite product from the line!) in his hands before working it through her hair. Michael stresses that it’s important not to apply it all at the front of your hair along the roots or your hair will get greasy.
After working the oil into the hair, Michael sprayed Kardashian Beauty Pure Glitz Hairspray at the inside of the hair. He then brushed the hair back into a ponytail at the center of Kim’s head, spraying with more hairspray and brushing her hair back into an even tighter ponytail before securing with an elastic.
Kim Kardashian’s Sleek Ponytail For Valentine’s Day — Get The Look In 10 Minutes
To make the hair in the ponytail as smooth as the hair at the crown of the head, Michael took a flat iron and worked in small sections to straighten all of the hair for a completely sleek look.
We think Kim’s ponytail look makes for a great date night alternative to the traditional romantic waves we always opt for. Kim proves the modern look is still feminine when paired with oversized lashes and a neutral lip.
What do you think of Kim’s sleek style? Would you try an updo for Valentine’s Day?
