Wow — this is pretty shocking. Kanye West is unexpectedly crediting God and the late Robert Kardashian for helping him finish his new album. We don’t think we’ve ever heard Kanye be so modest. It’s rather refreshing. Find out more details here!
Kanye West, 38, is more humble than we thought. The legendary rapper reportedly revealed to Real 92.3 radio host Big Boy that higher powers helped create his still untitled new album. Those he credits include God, his late mother Donda West, and Kim Kardashian‘s late father Robert.
During the Feb. 4 interview, which you can listen to above, Kanye described his new record as a “dream that can’t happen without God.”
“I’m only doing two percent of the work, God is doing the rest of the work,” he said while also crediting Donda and Robert. And when describing his late father-in-law, Kanye said, “he’s still doing deals for controversial black people from up in heaven.”
It’s quite interesting to hear Kanye give credit to others. He’s usually an overly confident person, so it’s refreshing to hear him be so modest. We like it!
The album, which will be released on Feb. 11, still doesn’t have an official title. He originally teased the name last March, but then changed it to Swish in January of this year. Then, just days later, it changed to Waves, however, that ignited a fiery Twitter feud with Wiz Khalifa, who accused him of stealing the title from another artist. Now, the album’s title is anyone’s guess, but he recently hinted at it being So Help Me God, which would make sense since he said God helped him create it.
“Yeah, I wanted to get people’s opinions on how they felt,” he told Big Boy, referencing Kim Kardashian’s Twitter poll, which asked fans what he should name his new album.
