Get ready to feel the Bern on ‘Saturday Night Live!’ Bernie Sanders will be appearing on the Feb. 6 episode of the late-night show alongside host Larry David! Now this is going to be good!
Looks like Bernie Sanders is about to meet… Bernie Sanders? The 74-year-old Democratic presidential candidate will be joining host Larry David, 68, on the Feb. 6 episode of Saturday Night Live. Larry has been impersonating Bernie over the course of the season, and it’s going to be one epic moment when these two meet!
“He is going,” CNN senior Washington correspondent Jeff Zeleny reported, according to Deadline. “He has been invited,” Jeff said. “There are no official announcements because Saturday Night Live keeps its programming close to the vest. But he is heading there and he believes he will be on SNL and there’s every reason to believe he will be because Larry David has been playing him for so long… That’s going to be quite the show – quite a debut on that stage.”
This is going to be really funny. Larry’s impression of the Vermont senator is spot-on. We can’t even imagine what these two are going to do when they’re on stage together. Catch up on the best SNL episodes by joining Amazon Prime now!
Everyone has become obsessed with Larry’s impersonation of Bernie, and Bernie was asked by CNN’s Anderson Cooper, 48, at the Feb. 3 Democratic town hall if he had his own Larry imitation. This was Bernie’s hilarious response: “Anderson, I know you’ve been in journalism for a long time. I am Larry David. And you didn’t get it!”
Bernie isn’t the only presidential hopeful to appear on Saturday Night Live this season. Donald Trump, 69, hosted the show in Nov. 2015. One of his notable sketches was his “Hotline Bling” parody. Hillary Clinton, 68, made a surprise appearance on the season premiere of SNL. She appeared alongside master impressionist Kate McKinnon, 32, and together they mocked the Donald!
