Woah! Hillary Clinton was taking no prisoners at the Feb. 4 Democratic debate. She’s sick and tired of Bernie Sanders insinuating that she ‘can be bought’ and she finally went on the attack! See what she said about his ‘artful smear’ here.
Hillary Clinton, 68, reached her wit’s end on Feb. 4 when Bernie Sanders, 74, once again mentioned that her having a super pac means she can “be bought.” She vehemently denied the claim, and called Bernie out, saying he was running an “artful smear” campaign against her! See what else she said, here.
Bernie has said it over and over again: he is the only candidate without a super pac. A super pac is an independent political action committee which can raise an unlimited amount of money from any corporations, unions or individuals that wish to donate. Bernie has said that not having one proves that he “can’t be bought.” However, Hillary took it to mean that she, in fact, COULD be bought, and that really pissed her off.
Right away, Hillary took a stance that showed she was angry, and she wasn’t going to take any more insinuations that she could be swayed politically by donations. “If you’ve got something to say, say it,” Hillary dared in the last Dem debate before the New Hampshire primary. “You will not find that I have ever changed a vote because of a donation that I’ve ever received, and I’m very proud of that.”

Furthermore, Hillary said that she thinks Bernie is using the whole super pac issue to try to tarnish her name without looking like he’s running a negative campaign specifically against her. “It’s time to end the very artful smear that you and your campaign have been carrying out,” she demanded. Phew! The comment was met with both “ooohs” and “boos” but one thing is clear: that woman is not holding back anymore!
HollywoodLifers – what do you think? Is Bernie right when he says that Hillary “can be bought” or is it unfair for him to use super pacs as a way to smear Hil? Let us know in the comments below.
