Now that the Demorcrats are down to a two person race for president, Feb. 3’s New Hampshire Town Hall should be quite an event. This is the first meeting between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders since their virtual tie in the Iowa caucuses.
Fireworks alert! Bernie Sanders is going to be riding high at the Derry, New Hampshire Town Hall forum following his wave of momentum after finishing just two tenths of a point behind opponent Hillary Clinton in Iowa. Not only that, this is practically Bernie’s home turf as he represents the neighboring state of Vermont in the U.S. Senate. You won’t want to miss a second of Hil and The Bern trying to sway residents of the Granite State and we have your way to watch it via live stream!
Hillary is going to have her work cut out for her as she’s lagged in previous polls behind almost-native son Bernie in the next voting state of New Hampshire. But the state is well known for voters being quick to change their minds about candidates in the week prior to their state’s primary, so she could look to try to pick up some support with the right message. But even the candidate herself knows she’s got an uphill battle on her hands as she told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer on Feb. 2: “I know that they tend to favor their neighbors. That’s the pattern, the history of the primary. And Senator Sanders is a neighbor.” CLICK HERE TO WATCH THE NEW HAMPSHIRE TOWN HALL MEETING LIVE.
While it may not be as crazy as the Republican race, with Iowa winner Ted Cruz calling out Donald Trump for having a ‘Trumpertantrum” over his loss and The Donald possibly being nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize, the Democratic side isn’t without some drama as well.
A major loss in the New Hampshire primary would be devastating for Hillary’s campaign, after she’d been polled to win the Iowa caucuses by a sizable margin. The fact that it basically ended in a tie was a significant blow for her race to the White House, and even though Bernie will win his neighboring state’s Feb. 9 primary, she definitely needs to make sure it’s not by a crushing margin. Be sure to tune in at 9pm EST to see if Hillary can bring some heat!
