Amy Schumer and Seth Rogen are ready to make America great again — by forming The Bud Light Party! With help from Paul Rudd, emojis and beer, Amy and Seth prove they have the biggest ‘caucus’ in the country in a hilarious new Super Bowl commercial. Click to watch!
Ted Cruz, 45, can take a hike and Donald Trump, 69, can go get dumped because Amy Schumer, 34, and Seth Rogen, 33, are here to save America. Since 2016 is an election year, Amy and Seth act very presidential in a new Super Bowl ad, inviting people to join The Bud Light Party!
“My fellow Americans,” Amy says at the start of the commercial that will run during Super Bowl 50 on Feb. 7. “They say we’re a nation divided. They say we disagree on everything.” Seth quickly chimes in with “That’s not true. We agree on a lot.”
“Like Paul Rudd,” Amy says, before pointing out how everyone loves the 46-year-old star of Ant-Man and Knocked Up. Paul was quite flattered by the praise. Seth tried to mention another thing everyone loves – no, it’s not emojis or raccoons — before saying that people love beer. That’s why Amy and Seth are forming The Bud Light Party, a new entity that will bring everyone together.
“Just wait until you see our caucus,” Amy says. “We’ve got the biggest caucus in the country,” Seth says, before Amy reassures that it’s not “too big. You can handle it.” It’s that kind of lovable sexual-innuendo that earned Amy the MVP award at the Critics’ Choice Awards.
Seth gets pretty worked up, but he forgot he was filming a Bud Light spot and started quoting Bill Pullman’s speech from 1996’s Independence Day. Hey, whatever gets you into the spirit, Seth. Fans were eagerly awaiting this commercial after watching the amazing, spanx-filled preview. Still, where was Ronda Rousey? The 29-year-old UFC star was seen filming a Bud Light commercial with Seth and Amy. Could there be another Bud Light Party spot on the way?
If everyone loves beer, they better love designated drivers. If not, Helen Mirren, 70, will come for them. The star of The Queen appeared in a Budweiser commercial and completely ripped into the “selfish cowards” and “short sighted, utterly useless, oxygen wasting, human forms of pollution” who dare to drive drunk. Dang. So when you join the Bud Light Party, be sure to party responsibly.
What did you think of Amy and Seth’s commercial, HollywoodLifers? Do you also love Paul Rudd?
