The time had finally come to rescue Lydia, and Scott’s pack pulled out all the stops to get their girl back on the Feb. 2 episode of ‘Teen Wolf.’ Did they succeed? Find out now!
Lydia was in desperate need of rescuing, and Stiles, Scott and the rest of the pack initiated an epic plan to get her out of Eichen House. On the Feb. 2 episode of Teen Wolf, Valack’s plans for Lydia were revealed, Theo offered to help Scott save Lydia, and the gang’s Eichen House plan didn’t exactly go according to plan.
All units were engaged to catch the Beast, including Scott and Stiles. The Beast was causing mayhem all over Beacon Hills and headed for the hospital. Mama McCall even got a good look at the thing before running the hell away. Stilinski ran into the hospital with Scott and Stiles right behind him.
And guess who they found in the hospital looking like the charred hottie he is? PARRISH! It certainly looked like he went toe-to-toe with the Beast and lived to tell about it. But he couldn’t really remember much. Scott followed bloody prints and watched them turn from paw prints to shoe prints. Creepy.
But back to the main point of this episode — saving Lydia. Deaton showed Stiles and Scott the horrifying pictures of Valack’s experimentations in Eichen House. It was awful. One of his victims was a banshee, too. Valack drilled holes in the victims’ heads, which would amplify their powers. If he did this to Lydia, it could be really deadly.
Okay, so the pack couldn’t let that happen. It was time to get Lydia back. Everyone was involved — Scott, Stiles, Malia, Kira and Liam. Kira would cause a “brownout,” which would allow Stiles to get to Lydia. Saving Lydia was ultimately up to Stiles since Scott and Liam couldn’t get passed the mountain ash. #Stydia is so real. If they didn’t save her tonight, she could die and kill a whole lot of people.
The Dread Doctor
Valack’s plans for Lydia were frightening. He brought that mean nurse down to his lair and revealed a mask that looked an awful lot like what the Dread Doctors wear. He put it on her and she screamed in terror. Was Valack once a Dread Doctor? Is he still a Dread Doctor? I have so many questions.
Since she was a key part of the plan, Kira had to practice her “thing” with Malia. She had no idea how to trigger her powers, they sort of just came to her. A lot of innocent light bulbs were lost as Kira practiced. Oh, and Corey eavesdropped on Kira and Malia!
The big rescue mission was about to happen, and the pack needed some essential items. Mama McCall handed over body bags to Scott and Liam so they could get inside Eichen House undetected. Mama McCall had a little word of advice for Liam. If he tried to kill Scott again, she would kill him.
Stiles convinced Parrish to drive the getaway van. Theo offered to help, but the boys gave his offer a hard pass. Well, now it was a competition to see who got to Lydia first. #TeamStiles!
Operation Save Lydia (Before It’s Too Late)
Stilinski had a little chat with Mrs. Martin about what was really going on in Eichen House. He showed her the pictures of Valack’s victims, and she was finally convinced that Eichen House was a terrible place. Meanwhile, Kira was worried she wouldn’t be able to cause the brownout and or control her powers, but Scott believed in her. Aw!
The plan was a go. Malia and Kira got inside, and Parrish drove the van carrying the boys in body bags. The plan was nearly ruined early on by some crazy kid shouting at the boys about his meds. Kira was still freaking out about the whole brownout thing. Malia told her to suck it up — this was about Lydia, not her.
Unfortunately, Stiles, Scott and Liam couldn’t get passed one of the doors because the key card reader was gone. So Scott and Liam decided to break it down instead. But they had company. Theo and his pack were coming in hot.
Meanwhile, Hayden was watching Deucalion, and he dropped some scary new information. The talons that Theo wanted were created by the Dread Doctors. Theo’s plan involved putting the talons on and obtaining all of the Beast’s power. Well, the Doctors created them with a specific frequency. If Theo put them on, the talons would kill him.
Coming In Hot
Back in Eichen House, the mountain ash proved too much for Liam and Scott. Liam, who should really be called Baby Hulk from now on, had a plan. Scott needed to hit him — hard. Liam needed to get angry. Scott didn’t hold back, and they destroyed that door. Stiles ran to get Lydia. When he walked in her room, she already had a hole in her head. He said he wouldn’t leave her, but she pleaded with him to go before Valack arrived.
Stiles listened to Lydia and hid. Theo and his pack walked in looking for a hellhound, and Parrish came in blazing. Scott and Liam were attacked and tased by guards. Scott and Liam fought back and were more powerful than ever. “Come on, we’re getting Lydia out,” Scott said. I’m so ready.
