As has been for more than 100 years, millions will be watching Punxsutawney Phil come out of his burrow in Pennsylvania, anxiously awaiting to find out if he sees his shadow or not. If he does, we’ll have a longer winter, but if he doesn’t, it means spring will be here sooner than expected! The whole thing goes down at sunrise on Feb. 2, approximately 7:25 a.m., and you can CLICK HERE TO WATCH THE LIVE STREAM.
For the last two years, Phil has seen his shadow, and we have had some pretty brutal winters. This season has been mild in comparison, so hopefully mother nature will keep that up as 2016 continues — we’re counting on you, Phil, because this warm weather sure is nice! Phil has made a recorded 119 predictions, and of all those, there were only 17 times where he didn’t see his shadow. Yikes, let’s make it 18 this year, please!
Don’t be fooled by any impostors — Punxsutawney Phil is the ONLY true weather forecasting groundhog! Every summer, Phil drinks a “groundhog punch,” made from a secret recipe, that gives him seven more years of life, which is how he’s been able to keep doing this for so many years.
HollywoodLifers, do you hope Punxsutawney Phil sees his shadow?!
