Does Zayn Malik have something to hide? Once again the singer disappointed fans after allegedly canceling a radio show appearance last minute. We have to ask — what gives?!
It looks like Zayn Malik, 23, needs to get his act together. After reportedly canceling a second media appearance in just one week, fans are pretty upset with Zayn and are starting to question if he’s ok. From dissing One Direction on the regular to ditching interviews left and right, we can’t image what Zayn’s intentions are. Is he simply trying to remain mysterious, or is something seriously wrong?
Although Zayn may be heading for the number one slot with his latest single “Pillowtalk,” he’s heading in a downward spiral for hundreds of upset fans after allegedly canceling yet another interview. The singer was scheduled to appear on BBC Radio 1 with Greg James on Feb. 1, but he apparently bailed just 45 minutes before going live on the air. He ended up disappointing hundreds of devastated fans who were lined up to meet the heartthrob at the London radio show office. Not cool, Zayn, NOT cool!
Before we get down on Zayn TOO much though, some fans are reporting that it was the radio show that bailed on Zayn — not the other way around! Fans have taken to Twitter and while some are being very vocal about their dissatisfaction in Zayn allegedly canceling his appearance, others are protesting that Zayn is not to blame.
“ITS NOT ZAYN’S FAULT! The BBC gave the ok THEY cancelled on Zayn,” one person tweeted. “Wow, he just keeps disappointing his fans, doesn’t he,” another posted. Whoa — start taking sides people! A Terry Wogan tribute segment aired instead of Zayn’s interview and some fans are claiming that it was because of Terry’s death that BBC cancelled their interview with Zayn. HollywoodLife.com reached out to reps for both BBC and Zayn and did not receive a reply.
Either way, the news was especially heartbreaking for fans because on Jan. 27 Zayn pulled out of another interview, which was highly anticipated due to “Pillowtalk” dropping just two days later. His appearance on the Graham Norton Show was supposed to be his first televised interview since splitting from One Direction in March 2015. But at the last minute Zayn decided he couldn’t deliver and, according to his reps, dropped out due to “scheduling” conflicts. Hmm…
Despite Zayn’s recent adversity to public appearances, he’s doing just fine on the music front, as his first solo single is number 1 in 60 countries after being released on Jan. 29. But we hope Zayn gets over his shyness soon because fans are dying to hear what the artist has to say about his new solo career. And if something bigger is at play here, we hope Zayn comes clean soon so we can stop worrying!
HollywoodLifers, what do you think of Zayn’s behavior recently? Do you think something major is going on with him?
