Is Drake trying to start another rapper feud? He took at shot at Kanye West in his new track, ‘Summer Sixteen,’ hinting that he’s a bigger deal than Ye these days. Take a listen to Drake’s diss right here!
Drake is not afraid to slam his fellow rappers! The 29-year-old dropped a surprise new track, “Sweet Sixteen,” on Jan. 30, and while fans were super excited, one person that probably wasn’t so thrilled was Kanye West. Drake targeted Yeezy in one of the song’s lyrics, and we’re thinking it might not go over very well with Ye. Could this be the beginning of a new battle?
Toward the end of the song, Drake raps about his rise to fame and fortune. But instead of just complimenting his own accomplishments, Drake insinuates that his career is so huge, even Kanye can’t touch him! “Now I got a bigger pool than Ye, and look man Ye’s pool is nice,” Drake raps. “Mine is just bigger is what I’m saying.” Listen to the track below!
While Drake’s shot may not be the biggest slam he’s ever issued in one of his songs, Kanye isn’t exactly someone who takes disses lightly. Just a few days before Drake released “Summer Sixteen,” Ye and Wiz Khalifa got into a massive Twitter feud after Wiz called out Kanye for his album title, Waves. And when Yeezy thought Wiz brought Kim Kardashian into it, he threw out an extremely personal blow involving Amber Rose! Needless to say, Kanye knows how to make fights nasty — so Drake better know who he’s dealing with!
If Kanye decides to retaliate on Drake too, it wouldn’t be the first time Drake received a comeback from his diss victims. Drake has his own bad blood with Meek Mill, with whom he trades shots with in diss track after diss track. In fact, Meek has already responded with a follow-up to “Summer Sixteen”! Drake may just find himself in two feuds, but judging by the way he called out Ye, maybe that’s exactly what he wants!
