Muggles and No-Majs, gather round! Though you’ll have to wait until November 2016 to see ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ all the way through, an exciting sneak peek just debuted at the Celebration Of Harry Potter in Orlando — and you’re not going to want to miss this! Watch!
Prepare to be amazed! Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them is perhaps one of the most anticipated films in all of Harry Potter fandom history, largely in part of the fact that fans have ZERO clue what the story is about. However, that’s all about to change as Warner Bros. released a jam-packed, magical featurette that takes fans of J.K Rowling‘s wizarding world behind-the-scenes of this film for the first time — and it’s not to be missed!
Up until now, all Harry Potter fans had to go on for a plot for Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them was that it told the story of Newt Scamander, played by the Oscar-winning lad from across the pond Eddie Redmayne, a wizard who has come to America circa the 1920s with a suitcase full of magical creatures. The suitcase manages to wiggle open (somehow) and poof, now all these creatures are running rampant around the city.
But fans who attended the 3rd annual Celebration of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Resort in Orlando, FL on Jan. 30 were treated to a lot more, as the first sneak peek behind-the-scenes of the film debuted just for them! Being on the scene, I can tell you — I’ve never heard a theme park crowd get so quiet!
The new featurette gives the first look at Colin Farrell as Percival Graves, Ezra Miller as Credence, and Alison Sudol as Tina’s sister, Queenie, who acts as one of the four stars of the film’s epic adventure. Joining Newt and Queenie is Dan Fogler as Jacob, a No-Maj who gets Newt in to trouble, and Katherine Waterston as Tina, which by the look of things, will be our American version of Hermione Granger.
As producer David Heyman puts it, this story is about these ‘four outsiders’ who have to work together in a ‘journey’ that finds ‘them coming into themselves.’ The video is packed with action, most of it involving Eddie, and loads of backstory to explain where the story takes viewers in 1926 New York.
Hollywoodlifers, are you stoked for November 18th, 2016? Don’t you wish you had a wand that would make the time go faster?!
