NFL star Johnny Manziel has reportedly been questioned by police in Fort Worth, Texas after getting in an altercation with a woman who is allegedly his girlfriend. No arrests were made in the incident
Fort Worth, Texas police were called to investigate an “altercation” between Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel and a woman believed to be his girlfriend on January 30 after some kind of dispute. Johnny was not arrested in the incident.
In a statement released that same day, the police department said they were called “regarding an altercation between Manziel and his girlfriend.” There was no further information about what happened during that incident, or the identity of the woman involved — only that she was Johnny’s girlfriend.
The Cleveland Browns said that they would have no comment on the matter at this time. However, NFL spokesman Greg Aiello told ESPN that the league was aware of the incident, and would be “looking into it.” This isn’t the first time that Johnny had a run in with the police over a domestic altercation, either.
Several witnesses called the cops in October 2015 after spotting the quarterback and his girlfriend at the time, Colleen Crowley, arguing in his car. The argument was so brutal that she attempted to leave the car while it was still moving on the freeway. Both parties told the police that they were arguing, and that they had been drinking during the day. The police determined that Johnny, the driver, was not intoxicated, and was not charged with any crimes. The NFL looked into the matter as well, and by November 2015, didn’t penalize him either.
