Anti was first expected to drop in May or June, but without a strong first single, the date kept getting pushed back. There’s since been rumored release dates in September, November and December, but this time, it’s the real deal, Billboard reports. Everything surrounding this album has been quite a mystery — RiRi’s been dropping videos with hints for weeks — and the site claims that Anti will debut as a total surprise sometime before Fri. Jan. 29.
Whether this news is true or not, the 27-year-old did deliver with something majorly exciting on Jan. 27: The album’s first single “Work,” which features her frequent collaborator and longtime friend/rumored on-off love Drake. Considering Rih’s great friends with Jay Z, it’s not surprising that she decided to premiere the song on Tidal, so don’t be surprised if the album comes via the exclusive streaming site, too.

Since Rihanna is set to kick off her Anti World Tour on Feb. 26, it only makes sense that the record will at least come sometime before THAT, even if we don’t get it this week, right?!
