He’s baaaaack! With WWE’s ‘Monday Night Raw’ in his hometown of Miami on Jan. 25, it was the perfect opportunity for The Rock to show up and raise some hell. But did he deliver…or totally get whooped? Watch here and find out!
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, 43, may have “gone Hollywood,” but he’ll never forget his roots. The actor proved just that by surprising fans at Monday Night Raw on Jan. 25, and he did much more than just electrify the crowd on the mic. Yup, The Rock was back in action for the weekly WWE event, and he’s still got it!
The 43-year-old was taunted by WWE Tag Team Champions, The New Day, a wrestling trio composed of Big E, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, when he arrived to the ring, and they really brought the pressure. Just one night earlier, The New Day had beaten Dwayne’s cousins, The Usos, and they weren’t going to let him forget it.
Throughout the guys’ speech, The Rock remained stoic and patient, even when they called him out for leaving WWE to head to Hollywood “for a paycheck.” but finally, he got his turn, and, just like he has always done best, the former wrestling champion killed it on the mic while mocking the Tag Team champions, and he eventually brought the Usos out to help him take the threesome on. It’s the perfect opportunity for The Rock to prove he’s still got it, and he showcased some of his signature moves to help his cousins take the guys down. To describe this in one word? It was totally…EPIC. And it was perfect timing, too, because in just over two months, The Rock is making a huge return to WrestleMania on April 3, where he plans to make history by helping to break the all-time attendance record in sports/entertainment history. We cant’ wait!
