For those of you shipping Brallie, the dramatic 3B premiere of ‘The Fosters’ confirmed one thing — they’re not abut to walk off into the sunset. But could they some day? Allow us to break it down.
First, there’s AJ (Tom Williamson), who we know holds a special place in his heart for Callie (Maia Mitchell) and they may or may not be heading on a date soon; then there’s the fact that Brandon (David Lambert) and Callie are now brother and sister. However, following the return of The Fosters on the new Freeform network, we found out that things may be getting a little more complicated between them very fast.

As you saw on the 3b premiere, the secret hookup may be coming out sooner than imagined — someone definitely knows. We don’t know who yet, but in my mind, it could be a good thing for the couple. With AJ back in town, Callie definitely will have something with him — “you’ll see that relationship develop in a certain way, absolutely,” Maia told our sister publication, TVLine.
However, it seems that a relationship between Brandon and Callie could ultimately be unavoidable. Once the secret is out, and we all know it’s going to happen, the will-they won’t-they couple will have to decide, and we have to guess that their parents will most likely approve. Sure, it will take some time, but in my mind, the acceptance will come. Plus, with the news that Stef has breast cancer, they’re definitely going to need each other.
“Between the two of them, it’s this idea of burying the hatchet. We’re in agreement to leave it alone, and he definitely does a good job, at least for now, of distracting himself with other things,” David told TVLine adding that yes, there may be new loves coming in and out of both of their lives. “Ultimately, they’re just trying to move on as best as they can. But with that said, the show is definitely a catharsis with the whole forbidden love theme and everything that’s included with that. So it goes back and forth.” Catch up on seasons one through three of The Fosters here.
