The AFC Championship will be decided by two legendary quarterbacks. Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos face Tom Brady and the New England Patriots on Jan. 24. The winner heads to Super Bowl 50 and HollywoodLife.com wants you to see this game! Click to watch.
It doesn’t get any better than this: Peyton Manning, 39, taking on Tom Brady, 38, for the chance to play in the Super Bowl. These two amazing quarterbacks may face off for one last time when the Denver Broncos take on the New England Patriots for the AFC Championship!
The Pats will soar up to Mile High stadium in beautiful Denver, Colorado for the Jan. 24 championship match. Along with the conference title, the winning team gets a trip to Santa Clara, California to play in the historic Super Bowl 50 on Feb. 07. The action kicks off at 3:05 P.M. EST so be sure you’re ready to witness this epic showdown.
Peyton has come back after suffering a foot injury, according to NFL.com, but there’s a growing sensation that Peyton’s close to retirement. He reportedly has no plans to hang up his jersey in 2016, according to Sports Illustrated, but fans should still tune in to see him play against Tom for possibly the last time.
Tom has nothing but absolutely respect for his football rival and friend, but he would love to win back-to-back championships. A victory over the Broncos and a win at Super Bowl 50 would help clear Tom’s name following the horrendous Deflate-Gate scandal that dogged him since 2015. Peyton has dealt with his own troubles over allegations he received HGH from an Indianapolis pharmacy.
This game will mark the 17th time Tom and Peyton will play each other, according to Yahoo Sports. Tom and the Patriots are 11-5 against Manning and the Broncos. But the Patriots might not have Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman for this vital game. Tom himself is suffering from an ankle injury, which could be a major factor in the game. Gronk better be careful if he does place, since he dissed the Denver team with a crude slur.
Peyton’s still playing with a bum foot, but he’ll likely start the game. Whether or not Darian Stewart, Max Garcia or DeMarcus Ware play the game is up in the air, as 11 Broncos are listed on the injury report, per ABC News 7.
Who do you think will win this game, HollywoodLifers? Are you pulling for the Patriots ore are you rooting for the Broncos?
