What would you do if Ryan Reynolds showed up to your screening of ‘Deadpool’? Fans not only got an early screening of the movie on Jan. 18, but some even got to see Deadpool himself — and Blake Lively too! See the crazy pics right here!
Just when we thought Ryan Reynolds, and his new movie, Deadpool, couldn’t get any more awesome, we were proved wrong. The 39-year-old actor popped in at a surprise Deadpool screening in New York City on Jan. 18, bringing along his wife, Blake Lively, 28, for the special appearance! Of course, fans were caught totally off guard to see Deadpool in person, and Ryan couldn’t resist snapping a selfie with the shocked crowd!
Deadpool fans thought they were just getting a “first look” at the film, but it actually turned out to be a full screening of an unfinished version of the movie. As if that wasn’t exciting enough, Ryan introduced it! Playing along with the surprise, Ryan posed with his jaw dropped for a commemorative Instagram of the screening. “Well, that went well,” Ryan wrote in the caption of his selfie with the full theater of fans. Clearly he was excited to be there, but perhaps even more pumped for the occasion was Blake, as she revealed it was her first time even getting to see her hubby’s action flick!
Sharing the same picture that Ryan did — but with an arrow that shows exactly where she was sitting! — Blake gave quite the sweet, yet hilarious shout-out to her man. “@vancityreynolds who’s that babe in the back?! It was my first time seeing the movie tonight– yes, at the surprise screening for the fans, I mean who do I have to sleep with to get into this movie?! Have to say… Best. Movie. Ever. No joke. #💀💩L makin mama proud 😍.”
Although Blake and Ryan posted the same pic, she definitely wins for best Instagram from the day with that caption! But Ryan and the official Deadpool Twitter account shared a couple of other fun moments from the crazy day:

New Yorkers weren’t the only ones who got a surprise showing of the unfinished film or appearance from stars. Fans at the same screening in Los Angeles got to see Stan Lee, T.J. Miller (Weasel), Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld, Brianna Hildebrand (Negasonic Teenage Warhead) and Deadpool screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, according to Comic Book. We may not have been part of the excitement, but we sure can’t wait to see Deadpool on Feb. 12!
