Burn! LeBron James is known as ‘King James’ for a reason – he’s the best player in the NBA and one of the league’s all time greats. But HollywoodLife.com has learned EXCLUSIVELY that he’s fuming mad that he’s lost out on the league’s MVP status for two years straight!
Uh oh! LeBron James is one of the greatest players in NBA history, and at just 31-years-old he’s got many years of great play left in him. But the Cleveland Cavaliers star lost out the past two years to the Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry and before that the Oklahoma Thunder’s Kevin Durant as the league’s Most Valuable Player and HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned that he’s saying “what gives?” as to why he isn’t getting the recognition he deserves.[hl_amazon_ns]
“LeBron doesn’t let it show, but he’s really upset he hasn’t won the MVP in two years. He has a ton of respect for Steph and thinks he has a great game and is an amazing shooter. But he knows he’s better than Steph and everyone else in the league too,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “No one can do what he does and put up the numbers he does across the board on a night in and night out basis. He’s staying quiet but he’s definitely out to win another ring and another MVP this season.”
Okay, we can totally see why Steph Curry brought home the MVP for 2015, as he led the Warriors to their first NBA title in 40 years, and is staring down another one with his team’s record 24 game season opening winning streak. But LeBron contantly puts up huge points for the Cavs and single-handedly brought Cleveland back to the NBA Finals in his first year back with the team since winning NBA championships with the Miami Heat. He definitely deserves some love for that, but Steph has been so dominant this season, he’s pretty much a lock for this season’s MVP trophy. He leads the league in scoring, averaging 30 points per game to LeBron’s 25, so the King better step things up to get that title back!
HollywoodLifers, do you think the league was wrong to bypass King James or did they make the right calls with Steph and Kevin?
