Oh my gosh, the epicness continued HARD during the second week of the ‘Shannara Chronicles’ on Jan. 12. After Wil and Allanon finally get Princess Amberle back to Arborlon, she finds out that the fate of the Four Lands rests solely in her hands! Learn everything that lead to the epiphany, here.
Monday nights have become a major fantasy fan favorite, thanks to MTV’s The Shannara Chronicles! On Jan. 12 we found out that the bad-ass Princess of Arborlon is the world’s only hope for survival. How crazy is that? See our full recap, here!
Okay, now we’re totally invested in the new MTV fantasy show The Shannara Chronicles. On Jan. 12, our three heroes make an insanely huge revelation, but not after going through hell to get Amberle (Poppy Drayton) back to Arborlon safely! You can watch RIGHT HERE on Amazon.
At the end of the two-episode start to the series, a flying demon is poised to kill Amberle and Wil (Austin Butler). Luckily at the start of Episode 3: Fury, Allanon (Manu Bennett) comes to the rescue, chopping the head off the nasty beast. Unfortunately, not before getting a gnarly gash in his side. Wil and Amberle set off to the Silver River to collect mud with special healing properties to help save the druid, but the annoying Rover girl Eretria (Ivana Baquero) kidnaps them at her father Cephelo’s (James Remar) demand.
Once they get to the Rover village, Cephelo is curiously kind to Wil, but he has one thing on his mind: getting him to activate the elfstones he stole in the premiere. To do this, he plans to make his daughter publicly slaughter Amberle. There may be more to Eritrea than there seems, because she cuts Amberle loose and tries to convince her to run away. Unfortuntely it kind of backfires. Then, a new flying demon attacks the village (someone glue those damn leaves on the Elcrys, please!).
Seeing Amberle in danger,Wil’s instincts kick in and he uses the elfstones to blast the crap out of the demon. And, yeah, it was awesome. Wil’s eyes glowed blue and a huge stream of magic shot out of his hand! However, it knocked him uncoscious and left a weird scar in his palm, oops. While he’s out cold, Cephelo tries to kill Amberle. Luckily Allanon comes to the rescue (I guess druids don’t need healing mud.)
Finally nearing Arborlon, the three stumble upon the brutal site of a demon attack. Dozens of sheep lay dead in a field, and two people were strung up and covered in blood. Ick. Then, they find a cute Elf named Bandon (Marcus Vanco) chained up and locked in a cellar. Allanon knows he’s magical, and Amberle insists they take him along (much to Wil’s dismay). And good thing they did, because when Wil tries to bail once they reach Arborlon, Bandon has a vision of Amberle dead and demands that Wil stays.
Finally Amberle, Wil, and Allanon meet with the elders, and learn that they must take a seed from the Elcrys, bring it to Stronghold and bathe it in the “bloodfire” (not sure that that is, but it sure sounds scary!), before returning it to Arborlon to restore peace to the Four Lands. Oh yeah, and only Amberle can get the seed. That is, if the Elcrys will give it to her. Can she pass the test? Tune in on Jan. 19 to find out!
