There may still be eight months until the release of ‘Suicide Squad,’ but fans have been given another sneak peek thanks to an awesome new picture of the gang. Check out Harley Quinn and her crew in the pic right here!
Margot Robbie, 25, has already provided a pretty killer (no pun intended) glimpse into her role as The Joker’s arch nemesis, Harley Quinn, in the upcoming DC film Suicide Squad, proving that this is going to be one heck of a movie. Just when fans thought they were already excited, Warner Bros. released a new shot of five of the film’s intense characters — and it is beyond epic!
Along with Harley, the new squad photo features Deadshot (Will Smith), Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), Rick Flagg (Joel Kinnaman), Katana (Karen Fukuhara), and Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney). Although it’s unclear what exactly the team members are getting themselves into in the pic, they’re clearly in the middle of a mission, as they all look ready for battle. As if we weren’t convinced that they’re quite the squad before, we certainly are after seeing this pic!
While the Suicide Squad may be a group of villains, this batch may be the most eccentric collection of bad guys that one movie has ever seen. The film’s director, David Ayer, discussed his Suicide Squad creation in an interview with USA Today, mentioning just how appealing this villainous crew is!
“We all need good guys and everything — yay, good guys — but at the end of the day, they’re kinda boring,” he told the outlet. “They’re always going to do the right thing. When you’re dealing with the baddies, it’s easy to get ahead of the audience and invert expectations.”
Judging by the pic and what David said, viewers are certainly going to be in for a treat once the movie hits theaters on August 6, 2016. That release date may seem eons away, but if we keep getting sneak peek pics like this, our excitement will certainly pass the time by quickly!
