Lady Gaga looked like an Old Hollywood starlet as she walked the red carpet for the 2016 Golden Globes. The unpredictable singer looked better than ever with a classic volumized curls hairstyle and the cat eye makeup to match.
Lady Gaga, 29, completely owned the red carpet with a head-to-toe retro-inspired look. The singer and actress, who was nominated (and won!) for her role as The Countess in American Horror Story: Hotel, was giving us major Marilyn Monroe vibes with her figure-fitting, off-the-shoulder black gown and platinum blonde lob. Get the details on her Golden Globes look, and let us know if you loved it, too!
Sarah Tanno, who frequently works with Lady Gaga, created her classic-with-a-twist makeup look for the night. To get her practically perfect skin, Sarah used Armani products. Sarah kept the lip completely natural with a pale pink blush to match, and saved the drama for Lady Gaga’s eye makeup. Creating a classic winged-out cat eye with Lancome Le Style Waterproof Long-Lasting Eyeliner in Noir Intense, Sarah gave it a modern twist by making it blue with the Lancome Drama Liqui-Pencil Longwear Eyeliner in Parisian Night over top. Mega lashes thanks to Lancome Grandiose Mascara and defined brows completed the look.
For a full retro effect, Lady Gaga’s platinum blonde hair was styled into Marilyn Monroe-esque waves. The structured style was given tons of volume and brushed off to the side, and complemented her fitted, Old Hollywood dress perfectly. Celebrity hairstylist Frederic Aspiras created the look using KMS California products. The key to the look was creating major volume on damp hair with KMS California Add Volume Volumizing Spray before blowing the hair out. Frederic curled Lady Gaga’s hair with a one-inch curling iron in one-inch sections away from the face before setting with velcro rollers. After removing the rollers and gently brushing the curls out, he set the look with KMS California Hair Play Playable Texture Spray.
Lady Gaga’s Golden Globes Hair & Makeup — So Pretty
In addition to her on-screen role, Lady Gaga has been posting pics to her Instagram of herself working on new music, with plans for a new album in 2016.
Plus, she just covered V magazine serving as the guest editor for the issue, and showed off a second, completely naked cover with fiance Taylor Kinney, 34, the proceeds of which will go to her Born This Way Foundation.
