Ah, what happened to Amy Schumer? The comedienne looked beyond stunning at the Golden Globe Awards on Jan. 10, but we couldn’t help but notice that her knuckles were all bruised! So what’s going on here? We can tell ya!
Makeup couldn’t help Amy Schumer, 34, with this one. The Trainwreck star’s hands were completely swollen and black and blue at the Golden Globe Awards on Jan. 10 — not exactly the chicest look for the red carpet! But what could’ve possibly caused this bruising?!
Don’t worry, Amy’s totally fine — she revealed to reporters that she was doing a boxing workout the day before the Globes, and that’s what caused the slight injury. Gotta get that red carpet body in shape, right?! If boxing’s what she’s been doing to get in shape for awards season it’s definitely working, because she looked beyond flawless!
Amy opted for a long, black and white gown for the show, featuring an off-the-shoulder neckline that put her shoulders front and center. And can we talk about the sweet, convenient pockets that provided her with comfortable red carpet stance?! Her beauty was totally on-point, too, with her hair pulled back from her chest in a half ponytail, and her eyes shimmering beneath dark liner and mascara.
The 34-year-old doesn’t have much time to worry about her bruised knuckles — she has a BIG night ahead of her at the Globes, with a nomination for Best Actress In A Musical or Comedy for her role in Trainwreck. And on TOP of that, she’s also presenting during the show, so we’ll be sure to be seeing a lot of her once things get underway! Stream Amy’s movie and shows for free RIGHT HERE.
Amy was joined on the Globes red carpet by her sister, but she had another very special guest joining her for the evening — her new boyfriend, Ben Hanisch! She just recently confirmed her relationship with the 29-year-old, and revealed on Twitter earlier this week that he’d be joining her at the awards show. Ahhh, love it!
HollywoodLifers, what do you think of Amy’s bruised knuckles?! Are you shocked she would do such an intense workout right before an awards show?
