So cool! ‘Better Call Saul’ returns to AMC on February 15, and the network just released a cryptic new teaser trailer for Season 2. In the video, Jimmy struggles with continuing to the do ‘the right thing’ in life, or becoming the con-man we fell in love with on ‘Breaking Bad.’ Watch it here!
AMC released a teaser trailer for Better Call Saul‘s second season on Dec. 11, and in the 20-second clip, we see Jimmy (Bob Odenkirk) having what seems to be an identity crisis. Jonathan Banks also makes an appearance. Well, sort of.
In the video, which you can only watch here if you’re logged into Facebook, shows Jimmy standing in a parking lot as we hear his voice narrating from afar. He says, “I’m a lawyer, not a criminal.” Then we hear his brother chastising him before Mike (Jonathan Banks) says, “I remember you saying something about doing the right thing.” And Jimmy replies, “Well, you know what? It’s never stopping me again.” Uh oh.
As you’ll recall, Jimmy started taking a turn for the dark side in the April 6 Season 1 finale. In the final scene — at Mike’s tollbooth — Jimmy asked, “What stopped us?” He was, of course, referencing why he and Mike didn’t take that Kettleman’s money.
“Well I know what stopped me, and it’s never stopping me again,” Jimmy said as he sped off — a line which was replayed in the new Season 2 trailer. We’re not too sure what will happen in Season 2, but what we do know is that Jimmy seems to be transitioning into his Breaking Bad character, Saul. And we couldn’t be more excited!
Better Call Saul returns Monday, Feb. 15, at 10p.m. ET on AMC.
