Oh no! Not Gronk! Rob Gronkowski of the New England Patriots had to be carted off the field during the Nov. 29 game against the Denver Broncos. A sick hit bent Rob’s knee backwards, leaving many fearful that Gronk was done for the rest of the season! Click to watch.

Every single fan of the New England Patriots was saying a prayer for Rob Gronkowski, the 26-year-old tight end for the NFL champions. Rob ended up on the wrong side of a nasty tackle during a game. As fans watched Gronk get taken off the field, many wondered if this was the end for him!

It all went down on Nov. 29 when the Pats played the Denver Broncos, according to Deadspin. With three minutes left in the fourth quarter, Rob attempted to catch a toss from Tom Brady when Broncos defender Darian Stewart hit him low. Unfortunately, it was an incomplete pass and even worse, Gronk was left writhing in pain! Officials quickly rushed to his aid and the Patriots star had to be taken off the field on a cart.

Darian collided with Rob’s right knee, causing it to ricochet back and to the right. It doesn’t seem like Darian was intentionally trying to injure Rob, but many were still worried that the Patriots offensive powerhouse had a torn muscle — or worse! Get to know the man behind the Gronk, by buying Rob’s book, It’s Good To Be Gronk, on Amazon.

New England would lose the game in overtime, 30-24, blowing their perfect season. However, the team’s main concern was for Gronk’s health. Thankfully, he’s is going to be all right . The injury is not serious, according to reports. ESPN’s Adam Schefter said a source told him that Gronk will undergo an MRI on Nov. 30, but officials think “he is going to be ok.” Let’s hope!

This is good news for the Pats. They’ve been plagued by the injury bug as of late, reports SB Nation. Wide receivers Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola are hurt, as is running back Dion Lewis. Losing Gronk would be almost too much, as Rob has been on a roll. He topped Shannon Sharpe with most career receiving touchdowns by a tight end during the Nov. 29 game. Fingers crossed that Gronk will be back on the field, in good health, soon.
