Philadelphia Eagles Vs Detroit Lions

It’s a Thanksgiving face off between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Detroit Lions! The two NFL teams take each other on in Michigan for turkey day, and it’s sure to be quite the battle!

Before the Philadelphia Eagles and Detroit Lions can grub on some turkey and pumpkin pie, they must duke it out on the football field! The two teams face each other in the first of three Thanksgiving NFL games on Nov. 22 at the Lions’ Ford Field. If you don’t want to miss the game, you’re in luck — we have a live stream link for you right here!

Both teams have something to prove in this game. An Eagles win keeps their playoff hopes alive, while the Lions are on a two-game win streak after having a rather rough season. The two teams have played each other 31 times prior to the Thanksgiving match up, in which the Eagles have the upper hand with a 16-13-2 record against the Lions. Their last meeting was in 2013 in the “Snow Bowl” game where Philadelphia won at home, so there’s no doubt Detroit will be playing with a vengeance at their home field this time around! Click HERE to watch the Eagles vs. Lions live stream!

If the Lions do pull out the victory, it will be the first time they have won against the Eagles at home since 1977 — what a Thanksgiving treat that would be! But this is the second year in a row that the Eagles have played a turkey day game, and last year they defeated the Dallas Cowboys on their home turf. The Eagles apparently know how to give a home team a run for their money on Thanksgiving, so this should be a pretty great game!

Despite the Eagles’ winning past, it’s still anyone’s game because they still don’t have their main quarterback, Sam Bradford. Sam suffered a terrifying concussion on Nov. 15 after taking a huge hit against the Miami Dolphins, which kept him out of the game last week and leaves him questionable for the match against the Lions. Mark Sanchez is expected to start in Sam’s place for the second straight week.

With Sam likely being out, it will be interesting to see if the Lions can take advantage of the situation and get their first home win against the Eagles in nearly 40 years. The Eagles are one point favorites, but we’re certainly going to be watching to see who will be eating their turkey in celebration!
