Happy Holidays Adam Sandler! That’s exactly what the comedian is giving us with a brand new updated version of his classic ‘The Hanukkah Song,’ which includes timely references to everyone from hot stars like Jake Gyllenhaal to convicted sex offender Jared Fogle. Give it a listen!
Adam Sandler, 49, has updated his classic “The Hanukkah Song” just in time for the holidays and boy are we loving it! The original debuted on Saturday Night Live back in 1994, so over twenty years have passed and it definitely needed some new stars mentioned in the hilarious hit. And he’s got them for us, so who made the new list? Read on to find out!
“Joseph Gordon-Levitt enjoys eating kugel,” the Blended star sang. “So does Stan Lee, Jake Gyllenhaal, and the two guys who founded Google,” he remarked in a live performance of the song in San Diego Nov. 18. “Adam Levine wears a Jewish star, so does Drake and Seth Rogen,” he continued. We’ve got Scarlett Johansson, talk about a kosher crush. And if you need a higher voice to turn you on, how about Geddy Lee from Rush,” as he sings in a high falsetto, adding “Harry Potter and his magic wand-ukkah, celebrate Hanukkah.”
He even got a dig in at convicted sex offender and former Subway spokesman Jared Fogle, by singing “Jared from Subway: Goddamn it, a Jew. But guess who’s Jewish and can fix him? Loveline‘s Dr. Drew – get on it, doc,” he tells the uproaring audience.
He ends his list with, “It’s cool that Santa Clause makes Christmas so merry, but we’ve got two jolly fat guys – Ice Cream’s Ben & Jerry, both Jewish!” Check out Adam Sandler’s comedy Just Go With It here.
