Sadly, it doesn’t seem like Lamar Odom will be headed home any time soon. A new report details the latest about his health post-coma, and even though he has definitely made progress, his life continues to be ‘challenging.’
Lamar Odom, 36, still has a heck of a fight ahead of him. Just over one month after he was found unconscious in a Las Vegas, Nevada brothel on Oct. 13, the former NBA pro is still trying hard to get back on his feet.
He may be tough, but that doesn’t mean that Lamar Odom is invincible. Even though he survived his terrifying near-death experience with estranged wife, Khloe Kardashian, 31, by his side, Lamar is still having trouble recovering from the entire ordeal, reports PEOPLE.
“Lamar has made some progress, but his cognitive impairment is making life very challenging,” an insider told the outlet regarding Lamar’s status. They also shared that he is not able to walk without assistance, he can barely speak, and will more than likely need 24/7 help once he is finally released.
As for his financial situation? That’s not good, either. “Lamar won’t likely leave the hospital for a long time,” says another source. “And when he does, he will need full time care. He can’t take care of himself.”
However, many of those close to Lamar have nothing but nice things to say about him. They refer to him as a “fighter” who is working “hard” every day to get better. Khloe must be so proud of him!
