As if Adele couldn’t get any better, she just reunited two of the most important people in the entertainment world — Harrison Ford and Chewbacca.
Trust me, you don’t want to miss this sketch. During a Star Wars themed episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, Harrison Ford was tasked with talking Chewbacca off the ledge, literally — but he didn’t want to after Chewy slept with his wife. Duh. However, once Adele‘s “Hello” started playing, everything changed.
In the skit, Harrison’s memories coincide with the song and we see the many great moments he’s had with Chewy: getting pedicures, napping together, playing checkers, Harrison fixing Chewy’s hair, playing at an arcade, you know — the usual BFF stuff. At the end of the clip, Harrison does indeed save his best friend and embrace in quite the hug. Naturally, Jimmy Kimmel tries to participate, and Harrison tells him to “shut the f–k up.”
So this proves my theory right? Adele and her music can literally fix anything in life. Just last week on SNL, we saw her song patch up a family full of issues (including Matthew McConaughey). If you put on “Hello,” all is right in the world.
The First Line Of ‘The Force Awakens Revealed
During the segment, Carrie Fisher, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver and director J.J. Abrams all chatted with Jimmy about the upcoming movie, but as we all know, they couldn’t say much. Naturally, we know that JJ’s very good at keeping secrets and is always very tight lipped when it comes to anything from this movies. But JJ did reveal the first word from The Force Awakens.
“The first word, spoken?” JJ asked Jimmy, repeating the question. “This.” With that, the crowd went wild. You can watch that here! Enjoy:
