All hail the mighty Adele! She was sassy, funny and brilliant when she stopped by ‘The Tonight Show’ on Nov. 23. Not only did she give us a killer performance of her great new song, she had a blast playing Jimmy Fallon’s stare-down game ‘Box of Lies.” You’ve gotta see it below.
Adele, 27, had such a great time on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Nov. 23, and the singing superstar was even up for some fun and games with the late night host. We got to see her bluffing and lie-telling skills via the always hilarious “Box of Lies” segment, but she completely blew us away with a performance of “Water Under The Bridge,” one of the many brilliant songs off her new album 25. Adele’s appearance was everything we hoped for!
In her interview portion she dished about her recent Saturday Night Live performance. “I was so nervous, that show is SO live. It scares me. You just think something is going to go wrong,” she said then laughed about the funny face of relief she was caught making on camera following her singing appearance. “I had no idea I was still being filmed, my friend Janine sent me a Vine of me (making the funny face),” as she burst out laughing and replicating her goofy look. The pair had a blast playing “Box of Lies”, where they each grabbed a box with an absurd object in and had to either describe it or make something up to the other person, who then had to guess if it was a lie or the truth.
Jimmy and Adele went into a tie-breaker after each being able to read the other’s bluffs. She pulled out a stuffed giraffe with three doughnuts around its neck, and she gambled and told Jimmy the exact description of the toy. Jimmy looked deep into her eyes and replied “you’re telling the truth” to which she pricelessly replied “B*tch!” before laughing and showing him the absurd creature.
Adele performed “Water Under The Bridge” to change things up, after saying in her interview that she plans to sing different songs off of 25 for all of her upcoming promotional performances. What amazing news! Who can blame her, it must get tiring for her to sing “Hello” over and over. The new song is much more upbeat and allowed her to have more energy and movement on stage.
HollywoodLifers, what did you think of Adele on The Tonight Show? We were blown away!
